Booking Policy

No smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises. This includes hookah and/or e-cigarettes.  Also, Due to COVID-19, guests must exercise caution and maintain a safe distance between one another.  We ask that you do not exceed the building's maximum occupancy allowed.  (Please note, we do provide hand-sanitizing stations in the lobby for the convenience of our guests.)

All events booked 30 days or less prior to the requested event date require a non-refundable payment in full to secure the event date.  All events booked 31 days or more from the requested event date require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the booking rate. The remaining 50%, plus any additional add-ons  must be paid in full  30 days prior to the scheduled event date.

A $300 refundable security deposit is required on all venue rentals.  This fee is separate from the venue deposit and can be paid in cash or via a credit card authorization form.  Should there be any damages done to the venue, theft of Avik Events property, items removed from the venue unlawfully and/or any policy breach as outlined in the rental agreement; the client forfeits security deposit, and deposit becomes non-refundable. 

Cancellation Policy

Event cancellation requests must be made in writing via the client’s email address on file and submitted to customerservice@avikevents.com.  If client cancels 90 days or more prior to the event date, 90% of original fees paid will be refunded.

For cancellations made 60 to 89 days prior to the event date, client will receive 50% of original fees paid (excluding deposit).  Cancellations made 30 days to 59 days prior to the event date, client will receive 25% of original fees paid (excluding deposit).

No refund will be granted for event cancellations made within 30 days of event date; all deposits and payments made would be forfeited unless Avik Events has previously agreed to make exceptions for extenuating circumstances.

Avik Events will not grant any refunds on day of delivery for cakes, custom treats and/or any other product or service being delivered and/or rendered; nor will Avik Events provide any refunds for same day cancellations on the rental of Avik Events - The Venue.

One rescheduled date is permitted as long as the new date is available. Deposits & payments can be transferred to the new date (or refunded) provided cancellation adheres to AvikEvent's cancellation policy. More than one cancellation forfeits all deposits and payments.

COVID-19 Safety Acknowledgment - Waiver and Release of Claims

COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION:

While hosting and participating in my own event being held in the Avik Events Decorating Event Venue, I understand that I and my guests are encouraged to practice healthy hand hygiene and maintain safe distances between people attending my event. I understand this can reduce the risks of exposure and the spread of COVID-19 (or any other germs) from person-to-person. I understand Avik Events has placed hand sanitizing stations in the venue as preventative measures to reduce the spread of germs as well. An Avik Events representative has explained to me and provided a copy of their cleaning regimen after each event is complete. I also understand Avik Events cannot guarantee that guests, clients, vendors, volunteers, or others in attendance at my event will not become infected with COVID-19 or any other contagious germ. I understand that for the betterment of my guests, individuals attending my event experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which may include but not be limited to fever, cough, and shortness of breath either the day of the event or within fourteen (14) days of the event, not to attend. I also understand that individuals that may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19; or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment, should also not attend my event.

 

RELEASE AND WAIVER:

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF WHATEVER KIND OR NATURE AGAINST AVIK EVENTS & DECORATING, AVIK EVENTS THE VENUE OR AVIKEVENTS LLC INCLUDING IN EACH CASE, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES OR LOSSES, DEATH, BODILY INJURY, ILLNESS, ECONOMIC LOSS OR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES, LOSS AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. I DO HEREBY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE AVIK EVENTS & DECORATING, AVIK EVENTS THE VENUE AND AVIKEVENTS LLC FROM ANY CLAIM WHATSOEVER WHICH ARISES OR MAY HEREAFTER ARISE ON ACCOUNT OF ANY FIRST AID, TREATMENT, OR MEDICAL SERVICES RENDERED IN CONNECTION WITH MY PARTICIPATION IN HOSTING THIS EVENT FOR MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND OTHER INVITED GUESTS.
